Overview
Criter.ai pairs instant AI answers to immigration questions with a licensed lawyer's sign-off. The studio redesigned its pre-seed investor deck as a sample, using only the company's public information: twelve slides, made as a live HTML deck and a PDF.
Challenge
The product makes two promises at once: the speed of AI and the accountability of a lawyer. Lean on either one and the company sounds like every chatbot or every law firm. Each slide had to hold that balance, and every number had to stay traceable to where it came from.
Solution
Every slide makes one claim in a serif headline and backs it with one diagram or table: the three-step flow, a mistake the lawyer catches, the two-sided marketplace, a comparison with forums, agents and chatbots. The data slides cite their sources at the foot of the page, and the roadmap is labelled directional rather than a commitment.
Process
- 01
Research
Collected the company's public material and noted where every figure came from.
- 02
Narrative
Ordered twelve slides from the problem to the ask, with proof, market, model and team in between.
- 03
Build
Set the deck in HTML and CSS, with dot navigation, a slide counter and arrow-key control.
- 04
Export
Printed the same file to a twelve-page PDF in headless Chrome.

Sample Material

The live build
One HTML file that runs in the browser with nothing to install. Its typefaces load from the web, so it needs a connection to look as designed.

Outcomes
- A twelve-slide deck that runs in the browser, with a matching PDF.
- Sources printed on the data slides, so an investor can check the figures.
- A roadmap labelled directional, so it promises nothing the company has not committed to.
